Ludicrous, your analysis is correct on the PII
because the cartridge is being cooled and not the die. But I like to clarify that in the other CPUs like the K6, there is no need to do anything on the CPU. And the principle of surface
area of the heatsink in heat transfer no longer apply because the heatsink no longer has special function because of the 1 cm. hole. The fan is blowing directly on the CPU. If the die is inside the CPU, then there is no need to expose it. Thanks again.
