Hugh, I am still here and enjoying my new and speedier Celeron 800.ghz. I wish I could show you how much better my computer now is. Your theory about the heatsink is not supported by
evidence because if your theory is correct, they
won't be inventing water coolers and compressor coolers -still looking for more efficient device. I could continue debating your theories like: "air is a thermal insulator" which is not true because it is only an insulator if there is no current inside the computer. It is the movement of air(current) that causes the removal of heat not only the heatsink. But the debate has to stop because I know it is an exercise in futility. I really enjoyed this debate though.
