Ludicrous, You just answered my question. It takes time for the heatsink to reach equilibrium
that's why there is a heat build up while the CPU continues to produce heat and you discredited Bob because he says that the heat only comes from the die or core and does not gets distributed but goes directly to the heatsink. And if you are trying to solder two
desimilar metals then you don't know what you are doing because it will not bond because iron will longer time to heat while aluminum will heat right away. You might have to used a different kind of flux to make it bond because it is almost impossible to do and could be a weak bond and nothing to do with heat
transfer either. I don't where you are now, but I am still following the debate.
