Or anyone else who might know. What are the chances that I have gotten a bad DDR DIMM from Mushkin? I try to boot the computer, and I get one short beep and then one long beep at which point the computer dies. If I hold the insert key (as the mobo manual suggests) I get video, and get to the BIOS screen at which point no matter how many times I boot I get a checksum error. I personally think this is a board level error though, as I don't think that I'd get any video let alone the BIOS screen with bad memory considering the fact that I'm using only one DIMM. Also, for some odd reason if I change anything in the CMOS setup screen I can't even get to the BIOS screem again.
BTW I have tried running with only the mobo proc memory and vid card, with the same results.

Specs:
1.4Ghz T-Bird
SOYO K7V dragon w/ onboard 6 channel audio
512 meg Mushkin DDR DIMM
GF 256 32 meg DDR
IBM 75 GXP 15.3 gig drive.

Final thought: If I were to D/L a newer rev of the bios from SOYO do you think there is any chance that it might solve this problem?
