I'm thinking of doing them in-phase and series. I've never done an isobaric config before but I've read enough to be convinced that, properly designed, it would be a Good Thing
At present, I only have a 500VA 35-0-35 core-style transformer, some miscellaneous electronic components, copper strip, and woodworking knowledge. I still need both sub drivers ($150-200), box materials ($50), and about $150 worth of transistors, supporting components, and veroboard...so I figure about a year or so to actually complete the project.
Initially it will only be a 300W subwoofer but the design will include a soft-start circuit and a doubled output stage, hence will accomodate a future upgrade to a 50-0-50 torroidal transformer. (But that's an additional $100, so for now I'll use the one I have.)
Should kick like a mule when it's done
