But the no keyboard-no mouse machine...well I find a another mainboard,video card, sound card for the machine. Tke the PC Chips whatever out, put the new stuff in, boot machine...got keyboard, got mouse, get everything in (Drivers etc) reinstall winders over itself, boot the thing thing about 10 or more times during this operation. It's running great everybody's where they're supposed to be, not in DOS Compatibility mode anymore, actually got some zip to it. Connects to the net. The whole ball of wax. Call her over tonight, boot it up, we get on the net with it, I show her which updates to get from M$ when she gets it home. She goes home I get this call. She has no keyboard & mouse again on boot or into winders. WTF is going on here? Any ideas???? Far as I know she's hooking it up right.

Now when I took the processor off the old mainboard I did discover that it had never had any thermal compound on it. Clean as a whistle....so I did put arctic silver on it before I reinstalled it on the Soyo. Gawd maybe it's the problem....?

Any clues guys? I do have to try and unravel the mystery missing Keyboard and mouse at her house.
The other one when I brought it back here I never could get the keyboard again on it or a PS/2 mouse. Did get a serial to run though. But no keyboard ever again.So I looking for any ideas before I work on it Monday..again. I have a migraine.
