Could you describe the system restore process?
There shouldn't have been any updates as auto updates is turned off.
Also, do you mean check the CPU during a virus scan?
For now, I've told the user to try dusting out the case and using a different power strip to plug into. (So hard to trouble shoot these things when the system is 2 hours down the freeway...)
