You misunderstood me for now this new system is my main system for gaming. Later when I assemble a new gaming system, then my win 98 system will move to the asrock, I did forget about the memory, I can only use one 512 MB of the 2 GB. I am stuck with 768 at this time (is the max) in the win98 system. Also I can move my PATA HDs from the older systems over. Hopefully I can get drivers.
Ya that raid drive the wd1500 should work on our asrock dual MoBo as there are two sata 1 ports & I believe thats what the drive is. I did order the cheapest creative X_FI sound card & a better PSU adjustable 600 watts, I do not want any PSU problems like I had in the past, I want less then a 70% draw.
Thanks for the heads up on getting everything I need ahead of time, I do have lots of time till installing as the PSU will be ordered tuesday or thursday.
BTW I figure someday I will drop win 98 & move what I can over to XP. I also assume that this new gaming rig will end up dual boot with a new OS right around the corner.
