Upgrade problem.

I could use help from someone who had gone through it before.

I've new hardware upgrades for Christmas from my son, 485W Enermax PSU, K8NXP-SLI mobo, 1GB OCZ memory, an Opteron 175, and a Thermaltake Typhoon cooler.

The problem was on first boot up - no beep, no POST, nothing, nada. All else normal, the reset switch functions as expected, the power-on switch also did work as expected, fans, etc...

I've verified that the mobo and CPU did work by removing the memory and the video card one at a time, I did get the correct error beep-codes for each of the part removed.

For now, I think the problem is outdated mobo BIOS, the mobo didn't recognize the Opteron 175 and wouldn't boot properly. I don't have a another 939 pin CPU to use.

All advices and suggestions would be appreciated - blind BIOS FLASH update to latest F11 BIOS with floppy disk? Any other ideas?
