If I were to move a hard drive with linux installed on it to a different machine (different chipset...), what are the odds of it working at all or working close to perfectly? Will it normally recognize all the new hardware and find appripriate drivers? I'm talking Fedora Core 4 here. I know with Microsoft OSs it's not normally advised, but can sometimes be done.
