I have a bunch of boxes on a network. Most run NT sp6a one has XP pro, one has Win2003 server. I can get the latest software w/o problem. It's the hardware that's out of date.

Since I have a bunch of boxes in a network, I tend to buy the older cheaper stuff. At best, I'm usually a year behind leading edge, but I save a lot of money. .

I only used the amount of ram addressable by the L2 tag ram. The old FIC PA-2007 could address 512 so that's why I used them. But I guess that is all ancient history now with the L2 on chip -- or is it? Is it still a problem to add more ram than the L2 cache can address? If the MB holds 4 gig does that mean the any on chip L2 can address and therefore cache all 4 gig?
