After trying to comprehend the meaning of the bailout for a while, I'm leaning towards "let it sink". The smaller banks and credit unions aren't doing too badly out of this as yet, sure the lending rates are tightening up across the board but they were too loose to begin with.

The US has been dodging a minor recession with a housing bubble, and now a major recession is inevitable. Let it happen and get the bad debt written off. The DJIA recovered over half of yesterday's massive losses in today's trading, IMO that means the investors were disappointed not to get a giant green pinata to swing at but things aren't so bad that the market can't sort out its own mess...yet.
