Needed a replacement for a board that was dying[kept freezing]While pursuing a second hand board on E-bay,it occurred to me there were "New" socket A boards available. The second hand boards are costing as much;so i went for the "new one" i found, as it was available from my usual parts supplier. As the subject tile states ;It has Serial A.T.A facilities and up too a 400 Mhz. Front Side Buss. And more [See-LINK]
I decided to use it with an AMD XP2600 chip and it works fine.Booted first time;auto selectd the chip -FSB- and its working great.
This board or one of the others in the range[Pentium boards too]make good solutions for dead/dying older boards.
