These new mobo does not seem to need a audio cable anymore. Plays CD music just fine. Put in a Plexter DVD and I get no sound on movie playback. Older Px-712 series. Tried a audio cable on CD port, no luck. This Shuttle SB95VPV2 is nice, but their tech support says no audio cable needed. Maybe try a different DVD player?
