It may mean a memory error. Try downloading and running a test program like MemTest86 and see if you locate any memory errors (you will need a blank floppy disk and a floppy disk drive available for this).

Another possible problem is that Windows is having trouble initializing your hard disk. You may need to run the hard disk utility and partition your disk before attempting to install Windows. If you do not have a hard disk utility, you can usually download one from the disk's manufacturer website.
