He had to take his EIDE HD over a relative's house & add it to another computer to format it at all. His only other computer is a laptop with no floppy. None of the format programs would work from floppy including WD tools as I think it made a boot disk that required windows LoL. All this brings me to the point of can you boot from a flash pen anyways ?. As the floppy drive is broken & most of the new programs do not fit on the floppies anymore. As I see it now you can only use a full blown windows to format a HD.
