How large is the partition on which you are hitting the memory error with Ghost? I've never had a single problem with Ghost (2002 or 03), but have never used it on a partition larger than 3GB (the largest I ever use for an OS). BTW, I always run it from a RAM disk.

I've never used PM for anything other than resizing partitions.
