Waiting sure sucks! You're right about socket 939... I was telling myself that I should really hold on since I like my motherboards to last a long time, and I really didn't like the idea of buying a dying 754 but someone pointed out that with the money that you'd save by going the 754 route would easily pay for a new MB down the road. By then, socket 939 will have had time to mature a little...

Another reason I was holding out was for the 90nm AMD chips that suppodedly just around the corner. I was hoping that they would be overclocking monsters!!

But, as these things go, there's always something better just around the corner. I think that I'd be a lot happier with a new system NOW than waiting another year for things to settle the way I'd like.
