Being smart - well I thought I was, last install I partitioned my 15G HD into 5 parts with my proggies out at G:.
Now I want to install a new 40GB Seagate HD and put it as slave on the same IDE channel as the 15G'er, it boots up as D: before the other 4 partions on the primary HD. Subsequently the other drive letters are all pushed down one and my Winders is stuffed - cant find anything and BSOD's are plenty.
What's the trick here...dont be smart in the first place and leave all your proggies to install on C:?
PS - I tried the new HD on my 2ndry IDE as master but same effect.
The HD is formated without system files and paritioned as one big Primary Dos Partition.
