sue the JeffCo police force, the adminstration of Columbine, every single student that had contact with the two perpetrators, and any stray cats that look like they might have money.
My favorite letter to the editor, published in the Denver Rocky Mountain News not too many weeks after the event, was from former Colorado first lady Dottie Lamm.
Basically, she stated that initially, her reaction was 'where were the parents when their kids were constructing bombs?' Then one of her sons piped up with a laugh and said 'What, you never knew about that bomb we blew up on the roof of the governor's mansion?'
Seems during their father's tenure as governor, the two boys had filled an aspirin bottle with powder and created a fairly noteworthy 'boom'.
FWIW in times past I've disassembled firecrackers and model rocket engines and played with them, my folks never knew about it.
Hindsight is 20/20.
