Seems it's a very good chance it was my modem that got nailed. i just installed a spare, and connected at 40000. Thi sisn't exactally great, but for peak time usage it's just a touch under normal. Thanks for all your suggestions. Oh, and lets see if this modem stays online longer.
P.S anyone out there have a 3 com 56K they want to get rid of?
