I was experimenting with my new plextor cd-rw drive using the enclosed verbatim cd-rw disk. At first I made a CD at 8x speed, all was well. Then I erased the CD, and attempted to make the same CD image at 10x speed, which is the re-write technical speed limit for both the drive and medium. It somehow caused the adaptec easy CD creator program to hang, and I have to terminate the app via win2k's task manager. Then the side-effect of this crash became apparent: the CD-rw disk is totally unreadable, just like an unformated hard drive or floppy disk. I wonder if the CD-rw can also be reformated, similar to a messed-up hard drive or floppy disk.
