OK, after repeated attempts at the 320 GB, I installed 80 GB figuring it would boot right up. No such luck, same error message: reboot and Select. With 80GB, I see HD and MB in Setup. So this must now be looking at the motherboard as the main problem, do we all agree?? what a life I live. thanks all
