Which CPU to chose on a socket A best for Music and Gaming ?. The real anwser would be no socket A's as a modern gamer needs good CPU's. I moved from a socket A to a AMD dual core 64 bit CPU this year & my Frames Per Second on the video card jumped 50%. My point is lots of new games coming out will need more power & its get worst over time. A game that needs lots of power now is F.E.A.R. I played it & it was fun & would not have worked well on my old system.
So the point is the fastest CPU you can buy.

Now with music I just got my second expensive audio card in my life the new X-FI series the first time in many years what a difference it makes to clean even thru my cheap 3 speaker setup. The audio card was 1/2 or 1/3 the price of older best of audio cards, so I gave it a try & was a great move on my part. This audio card series does not use alot of CPU cycles as has 4x
the transistors as the last models.
