Intel claims the i815 was targeted for both the 0.18-process (Coppermine) and 0.13-process (Tualtin) parts, so the necessary voltage steps should be present and automatically implemented; the only limitation will be the system's BIOS.

If it absolutely refuses to recognize the chip and there is no supporting update available, then it probably won't boot...this is not too likely, but be advised it could happen.
