Learnt my Lesson on this one.
Originally - 18 months ago, I wanted it to be able to hot swap it from my HTPC to my desktop. I since installed a 10/100/1000 and in the end the concept was useless - apart from the brag factor....
So now I am looking for a couple of new drives - might even go 2nd hand and store all my mp3s(40GB) /DVD direct copies (400GB) and 1600 music vids (80GB as VCD) on a separate drive each. Then I'l prolly buy 2 more 250's - one for recording my Stdef Tv and one for weekly backup (only plug it in once a week).
Shame I couldnt recover any of the Maxtors....what do you reckon my chances on a warranty are?
Lesson learnt.....which lesson is that.....spread your risk and backup....
