to Supermicro, Ingram, retailers...
AMD LAWYERS sent a fresh batch of subpoenas to computer companies they believe have information that can help their antitrust case against Intel.
The latest batch were served on the 11th of July against distributor Ingram, board maker Supermicro, and against CompUSA, Fry's and Office Depot.

The subpoenas require the firms and named individuals to retain documents relating to discussions they've had with the Intel Corporation, including road maps since January 1st 2000, discounts and subsidies, as well as a wide range of documents relating to any discussions they've had with Intel.

Seventeen Ingram employees are named, including CEO Gregory Spierkel, and North American VP Keith Bradley. Ingram is a major distributor of CPUs worldwide.

Supermicro, a formerly highly loyal customer of Intel's, has also received a subpoena requesting the prices it paid to Intel for all of its microprocessors since January 1st, and historical microprocessor purchase volumes by quarter from Intel and AMD since January 1st, 2000. The AMD part of that shouldn't be too hard. It was only this year that Supermicro dabbled in the waters of AMD Opteron boards.

That subpoena names Emmy Chang, Alex Hsu, Charlews Liang and Wally Liaw as named individuals.

Meanwhile, Intel has made a response to the antitrust case by naming Richard L. Horwitz as its lead attorney in the case. He works for Wilmington DE law firm Potter Anderson & Corroon. µ
