I'm Dennis and I'm the current admin. I origionally stumbled upon the site back in 2003 on one of my clients servers. I think it had been down for a few months at the time. When I got the site back up I immediately saw some traffic and posts, which intrigued me. I'm a bit of a hardware junkie myself.
When the DNS was about to expire in late 2003 I renewed it out of my own pocket for a year, but it was still registered to, from what I can tell, a defunct corporate entity. Later I figured if I'm going to invest any time improving the site the name may as well be in my/our control, so in January this year we let it expire, the DNS name went to auction, and the active members here and myself pulled together and bought the name.
Since I've bben around the site has had minimal downtime. I've made some changes/improvements, and am open to suggestions.
I have managed to scan through most of the posts back to December 2000. So I'm familiar with some of the old regulars like yourself. You were one of the folks that liked to get into it with Richter the "troll".
Was it the email I sent out that brought you back? Just curious. I was hoping a few old regulars might find their way back if I let them know the site is still around.
