Silver Surfer had some free time so I asked him to do a search on the JD 110.
Here's what he found:
The 110 was the first entry into the L$G market for JD and it seems to be a collectors item with asking prices going as high as $2K even in your neck of the woods.
1964 John Deere 110 Lawn Tractor. SN 110-9554. All Original. Includes Snowblade. Good Condition. Basement Stored. $2,000
Hillsboro, OH USA

"1970 John Deere 110 Serial #169865 Variable Speed Has Cab with fan wiper motor am radio Wheel weights chains snow blade mower deck new battery Good clean runs good ready for work or RESTORE !! Also have paint 1gal green 1gal yellow!! $1250.00 OBO!!!"
And in Smoker's territory:
Here's one on fleabay that needs restoring and doesn't run:
Your 110 has to be a 66 or newer (made up to 74 with 66 the first year the hydraulic lift was offered as a option) and could fetch more than you had in mind, as some of these collectors really have the fever. Need serial # located on dash plate next to ignition switch as well as serial on engine plate.
A blinding flash in cyber space,
Figment of your imagination?
He rides the web surf with grace,
And delivers the information.
