You're hangin b4 config.sys even loads on the Ali so it has to be something in command.com or msdos.sys causing the problem. Open msdos.sys in a text editor and change it from BootDelay=0 to BootDelay=2 and maybe that will help but I doubt it.

You have another version of DOS on a boot disk to try on the Ali?
