Look, this has been going on for awhile. You have to learn to read between the lines. When Dell says it's looking at AMD CPU's, it's actually a secret code for "Intel's stuff is too expensive and the price needs to come down a bit". Dell will never, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, EVER use AMD CPU's. Period.
