Not really a question, i just wanted to share something I found. It seems the folks who do ogg vorbis have made an audio/video codec. They end up as .ovm files (which for some reason I can't set to always open with windows media player 6.4, not that it matters changing the extention to .avi works just as well). Ok, so new a new codec isn't really much news, but that's because I haven't mentioned the coolest part. I downloaded an animé flick using said codec. When the codec is in use a taskbar icon appears and I always click those because I hate having anything there I don't need. Well, I found that this codec supports seperate english and japanese audio tracks along with overlaying of subtitles. How awesome is that? Just figured some of you might want to keep it in mind if you feel ever rip a foreign DVD or something. I wonder if it would support overlaying lyrics in kareoke, eh LED. |
