I went back into my CMOS setup utility and checked what you said.
Under power management:
ACPI Function - Disabled (so I believe this is correct)
I do not have an option for load safe Optimized defaults. I have the option for Optimized defaults, which I turned off. Is that the same thing???
By the way - had 2 crashes sinces posting this today... help meeeeeee.......
