My understanding of the USB to parallel adaptors is that there is some electronic component built in that handles the conversion. Seems this would also be an issue with seriel to parallel...I mean, they are totally diferent communications systems.

So, it seems that with Win XP setting the USB addressing I might not be able to lock the USB addresses for each printer?
