The Hammer uses an 800+ pin count on its socket. I wanmt to say 942, but I know that's wrong. Anyhow, as you can guess, it's not the same socket as our socket A procs. Ohh, and considering the fact that it's a 64 bit proc and all Athlons are 32 bit that should also offer some extra incompatability with curretn Socket 462 mainboards.
