winxp bootup problem....

When my Windows XP home edition starts, I get an error message saying "windows cannot find Openme.exe" and then I click OK to exit that error box. I've searched the reg and msconfig on how to delete this "pointer" but haven't been able to locate it yet.
Any suggestions?

I've deleted a few small programs I've installed thinking that was the problem, but nothing. I think this was some type of virus I got somehow. I used Nortons Antivirus, but didn't find anything.
