Recently those wnad.exe errors started to pop up right out of the blue while I was doing nothing special on my computer. Ok, it can happen once. No big deal, windows has a habit of popping up errors from time to time. But this error started to occur more often and was really getting anoying.

Today I decided to find out what was causing it and I found this post explaining what it is and where it comes from. I found the files in the windows directory and deleted them. Then I looked in the registry and found the "\run" line.

When I looked at the key I found out that it wasn't that "Yo Mama Osama" that put it in there, but a filesharing program called Swapnut I once tried. It appears that filesharing programs and maybe a lot of other programs are starting to use it.

So I advise to check all not ordinary programs for this hidden adprogram. You may find a lot more of these then you would have imagined. I read here someone found 13 of them...

Oh, and Sledge thanks for the info!
