I've read where if any 1.1 device is hooked-up to any 2.0 device chain, although compatible, then the whole chain will be slowed down. If that's the case then there will have to exist 2 seperate I/O 's for people with current 1.0 hardware.(I really would like this to be verified) Another reason may be ASUS just didn't have time on the Prototype.
