I needed a board that supported 4 gigs of memory. So I went with your suggestion of the AK31A... Called kingston told them what i needed... bang its at the door... install it.. memory error... read the box it 1gig registered ecc memory... read the ak31 manual supports 1 gig non-ecc memory... now call me crazy but doesnt the kt266a chipset support all banks filled if its registered dimms? is there such a thing as registered non-ecc memory? if there is i cant find it..... so how can you populate all the slots? in reality seems the max is only 1 gig... 2 512 sticks?
