drivers are a temporary problem though it seems unfair that anyone buying XP new gets to pay a massive sum for the priviledge of beta testing its interaction with 3rd party drivers.
I have just found OEM versions much cheaper but the full retail price of the XP OS is pretty high and represents a price hike IMHO which has been accepted with hardly a murmur, just like the incredible price of the Gef3 when it first arrived.
On the other hand the price of RAM and CPUs is pretty sweet these days and previous generation hardware and software is often a bargain. So I will just wait a year or two.
Guess people must be rich these days !
