I don't have anything on the machine except for 2K server and Quake3 Arena. Quake wasn't running, obviously, but the web services were. According to the task manager, RC5 was getting 99% of the CPU time. Do you think the FTP/HTTP services take that much away from RC5?

Also, I don't see how you can say that timing has no influence WHATSOEVER. It must have some, since the data doesn't just magically warp from the keyserver into the CPU
