I don't see why not. Mind you, there was a thread on Storagereview.com about how slow the new Seagate Barracuda IV's are in a RAID 0 configuration. Seagate's official response is that the majority of RAID cards are too slow for the IV. Could the same situation exist for the inital batch of Serial ATA drives? It's possible. I wonder how they're going to get such high transfer rates if they're not going to have 10k and 15k drives though? Maybe they need something like Zen Research's tech for hard drives. Multiple read heads synchronized for extra fast throughput with minimal rotational speed.
