edit system.ini :
add this line under the [386enh] heading
" ConservativeSwapfileUsage=1 " (without the quotes)
then add these 2 lines
" 32BitDiskAccess=on "
" 32BitFileAccess=on "
open notepad
copy/paste between the +++++++++++lines

make sure the "limit ram to.." is unchecked
ok reboot
this all works better if using a fixed swapfile
