I used a filter on on my first 486 which work quite well, but these higher heat computers of today I have not tested it. But I do run a smoke filter downstairs once in a while when smoke is thick. But when I am upstairs watching TV a filter is used to keep the smoke away from my wife &
does filter out the air. When it only blows air around its time to change the filter & if still only blows the air around after changeing the outside charcoal filter then its time to change the inside expensive HEPA filter.
