I get to school plug my hub (IBM 8245-012 10/100 HUB)into my room jack with a patch cable through the MDI port on the hub and get nothing. I tried every which way to get this hub to work (see the network) and it WILL NOT!! I tried a cross over cable, and still nothing, tried the mdi-x port and nothing, tried plugging the cross-over cable in to one of the ports and still nothing. I just purchased this hub brand new off ebay and I can't even use. Do you have any word of advise? Any help would be great.
