It almost seems as if the increase in destructive power of these worms was planned. From what I understood the first one was relatively benign with the possibility of being far more nasty if the author had intended it. It's almost like if the first one was meant to act as a warning. Since, we've seen a succession of code reds, each deadlier than the first. The worse is that they all use the same security hole! It's not going to get any better unless everyone patches up their systems... |
