mhh, did you try the other suggestions I made further up? I have never seen this problem anywhere before. You may want to try running some HDD diagnostics on your drive before you do anything else. Otherwise run fdisk, #4, display all partitions, remove anything that is there and redefine the partitions and then run the format off the Windows CD.

This whole thing brings up another question about the DOS version that you are using to format the drive. There are quite a few versions and revisions out there and you need to have at least 7.0 for the foramtting.
