A friend told my wife that the file SULFNBK.EXE is
a virus, he had read that the file needs to be deleted & then the copy in the recycle bin must be
flushed too. The virus kills all info on the HD's on or after june 1. This friend had the file on all three of his computers with win 98 SE. When I looked on my stepsons computer (ME) he had the file also so I only put the file in the recycle bin then I started thinking about the file it was in his windows\command folder so I checked my computer for this file thru DOS with Norton Commander & this file is a real windows file or masked to be one. As the file is not new & in the middle of the files, a new file would end up on the end, with a different time stamp. Unless the virus would kill a file & copy in the date & time stamp of that file (not impossible).
My questions are is this virus real ?.
& what does the file SULFNBK.EXE do ?.
