A quick and dirty scan of Pricewatch prices show that the 1.33 GHz from AMD is about the same price as the 1 GHz PIII and even slightly undercuts the P4 1.3 GHz. ^_^ I know some customers are stupid, but it just doesn't take much reading to see that a 1.33 from AMD's not exactly slouching way behind the 1.7 P4. If this is a price war, intel may as well increase the price for the xeons by $1000 and sell 1.7 GHz P4's for the same price as the Athlon 1.33's. |
