I just checked the box I am typing this on. It says the SBlive is using irq 12.
Would the type of mainboard or chipset have anything to do with the SB having a penchant for irq 5 and 10. I am using a P3V4X and the latest version of 4 in 1's.
Is it possible that pci and irq steering settings would have and effect on this?
Looking in the divice manager there are several ways that I can tell my system to assign irq's. I let it do the default thing and things seemingly work ok.
Not trying to argue, just wondering why myself and others are getting different results? Obviously you have done a lot of fighting with SB's and irq's.
